Midwest Energy Inc.

I currently work as the Web Developer and Linux Web and Email server administrator for Midwest Energy Inc. in Hays, Kansas. We are the Utilities Company for most of western Kansas. I have completely redone the Web site from the previous graphics intense, poorly designed site. The current site is valid XHTML and uses CSS for the design and layout. I use PHP and MySql for the content management. Since I have been there we have implemented the online account service with bill pay and usage history as well as other account information.

I was hired by CMP Media to design and develop this site from a previous life as the web companion to the magazine Performance Computing. I did a complete redesign and reorganization of all the content. I also posted the new content each week. Just recently the site has gone static to a dynamic database driven system which has changed some of the look and feel.

This was also a site I was the Web Master for at CMP. The site was already in place I just gave it a make-over to give it a similar look and feel as UnixReview.com. It too has gone to a dynamic system. Content was posted every month with each magazine.

This was a project I worked on while at PilgrimPage. It was one of my first times working with streaming media.

All the rest are when I was with PilgrimPage. My earlier stuff has all disappeared, which is probably a good thing.

This was Versa-Tel when I worked on it. Seems they have changed their name.

We did a lot of work for the University of Kansas. With this one I really learned a lot about cascading style sheets. Of course the client maintains the site and appears to have broken a couple things, oh well.

Another KU Web site. With this site I got to work with some Perl and CGI, beyond just forms. I set up a very basic yet functional message board.

Fun site for young kids with a lot of Flash work.
